What does it mean to be a Hope Homestead Farms Member?
People or families that wish to become members of Hope Homestead Farms pay a fee (membership plans and payment plans available), which entitles members to a share of the weekly or bi-weekly harvest. The Homestead is also open to non-members as well, though unable to participate in the weekly or bi-weekly harvest, are encouraged to enjoy everything else that we offer, from local produce, farm fresh eggs and baked goods to homemade items, workshops, special events and more. Membership in Hope Homestead Farms affords access to the freshest possible produce and locally made goods, all while supporting local farmers and gardeners, healthy agriculture and responsible land stewardship all within the Gallia County area. Members simply come to one of our pickup locations for their freshly-harvested vegetables and other items each week (or every other week depending on their membership.)
One thing becoming a members also does is support our community programs such as Hope Homestead Farms Outreach where we provide much needed healthy food to those in need.
In addition, your membership includes such things as, (when available), not so commonly found produce introduced along with recipes for preparation and holiday specials.
Hope Homestead Farms is a member of your community, providing you with local goods and produce, all supplied by members of our community. That is why we feel that Hope Homestead Farms is "more than just your local CSA."
How do I become a member of Hope Homestead Farms?
To become a member you must fill out a membership application and pay for a "weekly" or "bi-weekly" Full, Half, or "Neighbors of Hope" membership. Members pay for their seasonal share before the season begins or you may opt for a Payment Plan. “Neighbors of Hope” Members pay for a Full Membership in which that membership is gifted to someone of their choosing.
